Success Story
Professor Cannon is a Lecturer in the Management Department at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. She utilizes PeerDoc and PeerPoll in her classrooms, which have 40- 800+ students per semester, to elevate her students' learning experience.
Challenge
Professor Cannon teaches 2 courses at Terry, Principles of Management and Organization Change & Innovation Management. The classrooms are guided by individual assessments, in-person participation, case studies, and group projects. Professor Cannon works collaboratively with a TA to gather feedback to increase transparency between the student and instructor. Additionally, they both manage an open learning environment where every student can share their opinion.
Customized Solution
Our team has partnered with Professor Cannon to take her classroom experience to the next level with Rampant Strategy’s systems; PeerDoc and PeerPoll.
PeerPoll is used for attendance tracking, recap of lectures, practice exam questions, controversial topic discussions, and self-assessments. With attendance tracking, PeerPoll offers an accurate IP address tracking feature that prevents students from participating who are not present in class that day. The polling questions can also be offered for extra credit, gauging the critical thinking and testing skills of each student. The questions typically spark insightful conversations using the curriculum from the supporting textbook. PeerPoll seamlessly summarizes the statistics of the responses and gives a clear visualization of how well the class comprehends the material from the lecture.
PeerDoc has been utilized for case studies, individual assessments, and group project submissions. PeerDoc assists in assigning members to each group at the start of the projects, all the way to the end with customizable grading rubrics.
“The self-assessments give the students an idea of how the class thinks. What percentage of students believe that they're great managers or have never had experience in management, and this helps build valuable decision-making skills.”

Results
Professor Cannon has used Rampant to create a learning environment that celebrates diversity with the range of personalities within the classroom. Self-assessments are viewed by every member, which in return helps resolve potential conflicts by making sure everyone can express their differences, preferences, and learning styles openly. The support she has received from the Rampant Strategy team in setting up personalized tools is highly valued for her classroom management style and organizational processes.
